Index to Assorted Story County, Iowa Obituaries

I volunteer to do obituary lookups for Story County, Iowa. As I scroll through microfilms, searching for specific obituaries, I will make note of the other obits I come across and add them to this list. Obviously, I'm not going to come close to completing a comprehensive list of all the obituaries for Story county, but at least I can help out a few people. Please do not ask if I have anymore information then what's already listed - I don't. If you would like a copy of the obituary for a person on this list, please send me an email and I'll get it as soon as I'm able.

I prefer to make photocopies of obits and then send them via USPS. However if the obit is short, won't copy well or if you live out of the country I will transcribe them via email. The cost for copies is usually 20-25 cents per copy but can go to 50 cents at some libraries. I also ask to be reimbursed for postage and the envelope.

I also volunteer to take pictures of tombstones in the county. If you'd like a picture in addition to an obituary, let me know. Again, all I ask is to be reimbursed for postage, photo mailer, film and developing.
